Moderation Appeals

If Y declines, limits, or removes something you submitted and you believe the decision was mistaken or applied unfairly, you may ask for a review.

Step 1

Tell us what decision you are appealing

Include the name or title of the profile, listing, resource, community, or other contribution, plus the relevant Y Network page link if you have it. Explain what you believe should be reconsidered.

Step 2

The decision is re-checked against the published rules

An administrator reviews the original contribution, the moderation note or report record, and the Community Guidelines that applied. The goal is to decide whether the original action was consistent, proportionate, and based on the information available.

Step 3

The outcome is recorded

The action may be upheld, changed, or reversed. If more information or a revision is needed, Y may ask for it. The appeal and final outcome remain part of the private moderation record under Y's retention policy.

Current-stage limitation: Y is still founder-led and does not yet have an independent appeals panel. Appeals are therefore reviewed by an authorized platform administrator, using the published rules and the stored moderation record. This pathway is not an emergency service and does not replace legal rights or outside remedies.

Submit an appeal

Use the private Contact form with Moderation appeal selected. Keep the appeal factual and include enough detail to identify the decision. Do not send medical records, identification documents, or private information about children.

Start an appeal

Y does not promise a fixed response time while the network is small. Appeals are handled as capacity allows. Repeated duplicate submissions do not speed up review.
