Effective August 26, 2026
Depending on how you use Y, the platform may receive your account name and email, authentication information handled by the platform's sign-in system, optional profile or listing information, uploaded images or files, private contact-request messages, contact/feedback messages, and reports submitted for moderation.
Do not submit passwords, government identification, medical records, children's private information, or other sensitive documents unless a specific Y process clearly requires them. Current report and contact forms do not require those documents.
Reports are private moderation records. They may include the reported item, reason, supporting text or URLs, reporter identity, status, assignment, administrator notes, and resolution information. Authorized administrators may review these records to investigate concerns and document actions.
Moderation appeals are submitted through the private appeals pathway and Contact form. Appeals are stored with the contact workflow and may be connected to the underlying moderation record.
A retention date is stored with new records so these periods can be enforced. Records may need to be preserved longer when reasonably necessary for an active safety issue, fraud or abuse prevention, legal obligation, dispute, or protection of the network. Y should periodically review and delete records whose retention purpose has ended.
Y Network does not currently configure a third-party advertising or behavioral-analytics provider in the application code. Y therefore does not intentionally set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
The hosting, authentication, and security services used to operate the application may use essential cookies, tokens, or browser storage for sign-in, sessions, fraud prevention, security, and basic platform operation. Google sign-in, when used, is also subject to Google's own privacy practices. If Y later adds an analytics provider or non-essential tracking, this policy should be updated before that change is treated as part of normal operation.
