Using Y Network
By creating or using a Y Network account, submitting member-visible content, sending a contact request, attending a Y-organized gathering, or using other member tools, you agree to follow these Terms and the Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the member features.
What Y Network is
Y Network is an early-stage, member-gated connection, learning, and participation platform for people exploring intentional, regenerative, off-grid, hybrid, homesteading, and self-sufficient ways of living. It helps people discover information, share skills and resources, find needs and offers, and learn about independent communities and projects.
What Y Network is not
A residential community, religion, government, or governing authority.
A broker, landlord, employer, employment agency, escrow service, or professional adviser.
A safety-certification, background-check, or endorsement service.
A promise of housing, employment, land, ownership, equity, investment return, community membership, or compatibility.
A registered nonprofit unless and until Y publicly states otherwise after that status actually exists.
Age and household information
Account holders and public-profile owners must be at least 18 years old. Adults may describe a household generally, but should not publish children's full names, schools, schedules, exact locations, medical information, private identifying details, or other information that could put a child at risk.
Your content and your responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness, and permissions associated with content you submit. Do not impersonate others, publish private information without permission, misrepresent credentials, or submit material you do not have the right to share. Y may display member-approved content to other members for the purpose for which it was submitted; you keep ownership of your own original content.
Contribution review
Member-visible profiles, communities or projects, needs or offers, and shared resources enter a basic review process before appearing to other members. Review checks platform fit, completeness, category fit, and applicable safety or disclosure requirements. Approval does not mean Y independently verified every claim, inspected the real-world situation, or certified a person, organization, resource, or arrangement as safe.
Conduct and safety
You may not harass, threaten, defraud, exploit, coerce, discriminate unlawfully, retaliate, spam, impersonate, misuse private information, endanger children or vulnerable people, or use Y to facilitate unlawful activity. Members remain responsible for normal real-world due diligence before sharing money, property, labor, travel plans, housing commitments, or sensitive personal information.
Belief and family-related directory information
Spiritual orientation may be provided as optional self-description on a community listing. Y does not use a person's or community's spiritual identity as an eligibility, ranking, recommendation, or matching filter. A family-related label, where present, means only that the contributor says families are welcome; it is not a safety finding, child-safety certification, background check, or endorsement, and Y does not use it as a matching filter at this stage.
Moderation and administrator authority
Y may return content for revision, limit its visibility, remove it, or restrict access when reasonably necessary to apply these Terms, the Community Guidelines, safety rules, privacy protections, or platform operations.
Administrators may correct narrow administrative or safety-related fields and may remove or hide noncompliant material. They should not silently rewrite a member's identity, beliefs, biography, opinions, or substantive contribution simply to substitute the administrator's preferred wording. When a substantive change belongs to the contributor, Y should normally return the contribution with a specific revision request. Moderation records and appeals
Y keeps a private administrative audit trail for moderation actions and status changes. If a contribution is declined, restricted, or removed and you believe the decision was mistaken or applied unfairly, you may use the Moderation Appeals pathway. Because Y is currently founder-led, an independent appeals panel does not yet exist; the current process is an administrator re-review against the published rules and stored moderation record.
Connections and outside agreements
Y may help people find one another, but it is not a party to agreements between members or between a member and an outside community, employer, seller, landlord, service provider, or project. Any lease, contract, barter arrangement, job, volunteer role, purchase, investment, housing agreement, or other commitment is governed by the people involved and applicable law, not by Y.
Professional and high-stakes information
Y may contain educational material touching on health, mental health, legal issues, land use, finance, construction, safety, emergency preparedness, or other high-stakes subjects. General information on Y is not individualized professional advice. Verify important information and use an appropriately qualified professional when a decision carries meaningful legal, financial, medical, safety, or other risk.
Availability and changes
Y is an early-stage service. Features may change, fail, be paused, or be removed. Y does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a particular number of members, successful matches, responses to messages, or a particular outcome from participating. Material rule changes should be reflected in the published policies or guidelines.
Privacy and retention
How Y handles account information, reports, contact messages, contact requests, cookies, and data-retention periods is described in the Privacy Policy.
