Y is currently 18+. Joining Y does not enroll you in any residential community or guarantee the safety, accuracy, or compatibility of a person, project, resource, or real-world arrangement.

Some people want to do more than join. Y now has a pathway for members who want to help make connections locally, welcome people, host gatherings, develop projects, or take responsibility for a defined part of the network.
Possible paths include Y Connector, Local Y Steward, and Project Steward. These are reviewed stewardship roles — not automatic leadership titles or authority over other members.
Examples of what a steward might do
Introduce people to Y and explain what the network is
Notice local needs, skills, resources, and possible connections
Help organize or host Y Gatherings
Welcome newer members and help them find where they fit
Build relationships with local communities, projects, and organizations
Take responsibility for a specific Y project or working area
What Y is — and is not
Connection without control.
Y is early-stage and founder-led. It is not a religion, government, residential community, employer, landlord, or authority over a member's life. The network is meant to help people connect without requiring them to surrender autonomy.
No required religion, political identity, spiritual practice, or single lifestyle
Membership in Y does not enroll you in a residential community
Stewardship is responsibility and service — not authority over members
Consent, privacy, autonomy, and freedom to leave are explicit operating principles
We already have so much of what we need.
Skills, knowledge, land, ideas, tools, people, projects, and care already exist in scattered places. Y is an attempt to build better ways for those pieces to find each other.
